Story
She was not truly aroused by this idea. I, on the other hand, was satisfied with my arranging of things. She is only half a year old now. Last month she was envious because I took Amalur to a halter event while she wanted to go ever since I got her. Did I mention baby Lisquars are quite dangerous when angry? She slapped me several time over my head with her wing. She put an utterly innocent face after that though. I was afraid of coming closer to her since then, but retaliated by designing her hunting accessory. Nuria was furious. She loves animals and couldn’t stand the fact she has a little cute foxie on her head. I tried to explain it is only an imitation, but she wouldn’t listen to me. In one moment, I could swear I saw an inner fire of hers, but luckily for me she didn’t use it. I was relieved. I put the fox accessory away for the moment and adjusted only a simple bridle on her head. She was pleased with it. But I wasn’t.
“It is so ordinary, Nuria. And it doesn’t fit the theme at all. And by at all I mean AT ALL!”
She only stared at me in bewilderment. I could give my word that she understood me perfectly, but she sometimes acts like she doesn’t.
“Okay, then I will have to change the theme to that flowery one,” I concluded and went on picking up some flowers growing around. When I arranged some sort of a wreath of it on her head and foolishly put a mirror in front of her face, I could see she understood it was her in it. She shook it away angrily. Like she was saying I was not born to be some kind of puffy princess. She gave me the strangest look and burnt the wreath in a flash of a moment.
“Whaaaaaat? Why?! Why did you just do that?” I cried out. The event was about to start in less than hour and I didn’t expect her to be fighting with me about this. I expected her to go there despite what she was wearing.
“This is your last chance I tell you. The medieval folks theme. What would you like to be? A queen? A knight? A damsel in distress? Pick one.”
Nuria hypnotized me motionlessly. And I was beginning to feel we won’t do it. Suddenly, a horse neigh could be heard from distance. We both turned to face a lovely flaxen liver chestnut mare with a similar accessory as my original one on her head. The fox was grey and had antlers on itself, and the mare’s ears were peeping out of it. She leaned towards Nuria and touched her muzzle softly. I didn’t know what this was about, but I could see an instant change in Nuria’s behavior. She found her little fox cap and tried to put in on.
“Here, let me help you.”
I couldn’t believe my eyes. Her attitude now was like I too shall put this trophy on, and everyone will see my greatness.
“Thank you,” I said to myself while the mare was slowly walking off. I didn’t know her name though as she came to us alone, but I believe we will encounter her at least once more.
